Loving Kindness Meditation

Metta, the Buddhist term which roughly translates into loving kindness, one of the ten paramis of the Theravada school of Buddhism. Metta is considered to be the first of the four sublime states. What all that means is that it is an important practice for bringing peace to the world and to your life. When you are practicing loving kindness you are sending benevolent energy to other living beings.

While there are many ways to practice this as a meditation or mindfulness journey, it can be as simple as bringing someone into my awareness and repeating the following:

May they be happy. May they be well.

May they be free. May they live with ease.

Loving Kindness is the subject of this weeks meditation on Youtube.

Please do have a listen anytime you find there is dissonance with another being in your world. Loving kindness meditation is also an excellent daily practice and can even be used throughout the day as you go about whatever business you have in the world.

I've even created a mini meditation so that you can tap into the energy if you've only got a minute!

From me to you on this wonderful day:

May YOU be happy.

May YOU be well.

May YOU be free.

May YOU live with ease.
